Crafts are still being rotated! Zebra Z's will come home this week! We now have on display pictures we have taken of the class and each student in their caps and gowns as we get closer to the end of school. You will receive a keepsake with your child's picture on it at the end of year celebration on May 10th. For more information on this celebration, see the "Important Dates" tab.
Last week, we read the book, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and some students began working on a craft of the tree in the book with all of the letters A-Z. All students should finish up this craft by the end of this week.

More Review April 29th-May 3rd
- CALENDAR-This week we will continue focusing on reviewing our alphabet, reviewing our shapes and colors, and our numbers 1-10. Students will come home with an image written on their right hand with a different scented marker each day. This helps them know their right hand for flag salute and reinforces their colors. We will also be singing several alphabet songs and counting songs that you can find below.
- PHONICS-This week along with the other phonics skills we continue to work on like rhyming, listening for beginning & ending sounds, blending onset & rimes we hear into whole words, and separating words we hear into onset & rime, we are reviewing our nursery rhymes.
- CIRCLE TIME-This week for our social skills activities we we will talk about the 12 Guiding Principles Word of the Week, "Loyalty".
- PRE-READING/WRITING-This week we will be doing some additional pages in our handwriting books. Soon these books will come home with your child and I encourage you to use them as a coloring book for letter and number review throughout the summer.
- MATH-Math is imbedded daily into activities that we do. Our calendar time involves learning our colors, shapes, and counting and learning our written numerals. While playing during centers, teachers interact with students and encourage counting, sorting, and comparing sizes and shapes.
