HANDWRITING TIPS
Click the arrows to flip through various handwriting resources for your child. These resources are directly from the curriculum we use at school to teach your child to write. When working with your child, I ask that you teach them to form their letters and numbers the same way we do at school to avoid confusion. Resources include, fine motor practice for strengthening your child's hands for writing, teaching them how to hold a crayon correctly, directions for writing capital letters, a capital letter formation chart, and a number formation chart. I have also includes the lowercase letter formation chart. In PreK, we focus on writing capital letters but if your child is ready for the challenge of the lowercase letters they will be writing in Kindergarten, I wanted you to also have that resource.
HWT WET-DRY-TRY APP
The Handwriting Without Tears: Wet-Dry-Try for Capitals, Numbers, and Lowercase is an app created by the handwriting curriculum we use at school. It provides practice for how to form letters that follows the way we teach students at school. This app is not a free resource, it is $4.99 but I wanted to share it with you since it aligns with our curriculum.
